Young Children and Worship
Our Children and
Worship program offers an alternative worship setting for children for part
of each worship service. Children experience a Bible story, respond with art
or other activities, share a nutritious snack, and learn to pray together.
At the 11:00 service this program is offered for age 4—grade 2. At the 9:00
service two groups are available: age 4—grade 1 and grades 2-5.
Children are welcome in our worship service. Nursery care is offered from
8:45 am to 12:15 pm for infants and toddlers through age 4 if parents prefer
to use that alternative. Parents, please stop at the welcome center just
inside our main entrance to register your children and pick up a pager for
the morning. If your child needs you during the worship service, your pager
will vibrate to call you to the nursery. For those who need to leave briefly
during a “fussy time,” the service can be heard and seen from the great
room.
Wednesday Night Live
Wednesday Night Live (WNL) is based on LOGOS, a midweek program used by more
than 2,000 churches nationwide for over 35 years. The program allows young
people to observe and practice what it means to be a follower of Jesus
through Bible study, worship skills (music), recreation, mission, and
“family” dinner time. Children and youth experience Christian community in
partnership with adult mentors. Caring relationships are guided by our one
rule: You are a
child of God: I’ll treat you that way.
The elementary
program meets from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm (carpools available from local
schools). Youth meet from 5:30 pm - 7:45 pm. Adults and preschoolers are
welcome to join us for supper from 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm. Our Wednesday
worship service begins at 6:10 pm.

Wednesday Schedule.
Youth
The Middle School Youth meet from 6-7:45 pm on Wednesdays.
In their own way, they study Bible stories, become more active in mission
outreach, and spend time snacking and being active.
The Senior High Youth have decided that watching a secular movie, followed
by discussion on how God/Spirit worked in the lives of the characters/actors
of the movie is an affirming way of spending their time in study of faith.
